The ‘I was drunk and didn’t know what I was doing” is an excuse and poor one at that which has been overused in society. Anyone that has ever been drunk knows they know what they’re doing and they don’t care. Later when regretful about their actions they use it as an excuse.
It’s women like this who make it harder for real rape victims. She was “caught on camera” enjoying public sex. Oh but she was drunk, and that means she “didn’t know what she was doing”. But at the same time, there is a double standard for the boy who was drunk. He “knew exactly what he was dong”. So the next day, when she sobered up, she felt embarrassed. Then she cried rape. Drunk men are responsible for their actions, but drunk women are not responsible for their actions. Double standard.
And feminists don’t realize they are promoting a paternalistic idea of women as helpless damsels-in-distress with this double standard of “she didn’t know what she was doing, but he knew exactly what he was doing”.
By feminist logic they can commit murder whilst drink cause they don’t know what they are doing at the time
